gatsby? what gatsby? & late spring/early summer mori inspo

So I've been feeling a little like this --

BLUB BLUB BLAUUUUUGHHHHHHGHAAAUUGHHHHHHHHH

 But then I got a fantastic haircut, and now I'm feeling like the BEE'S KNEES. Oh yeah, I'm talking about the cat's pajamas. Sometimes it's the little things. If I'm having a hard time or slipping into one of those spirals of frumpiness or general un-inspiration, a styling cut always seems to be able to perk me back up again. Even if I am on a diet. Yeah

As the weather gets warmer I'm feeling a more billowy, layery, loose/light mori or natural-kei aesthetic. We'll see where this goes.
 I've been wheedling around about a summer order from TaoBao, but what with cosplay-related things coming up (yeah, that's a whole other story) I'm drawing back a bit. I do have my eyes on some cute things as of late.

Yep, Korean cosmetics are still my boom...

I bought some ome tasty items from bigclothcraft on ebay, located in S. Korea. 

I placed the order on April 11th, and per the DHL tracking info they weren't shipped out til the 24th, but they arrived shortly after on April 26th! (Holy momo, that's speedy!)

Shipping was also included with my order, and lots of samples~

 TONYMOLY Clean Dew Broccoli Sprout Cleansing Cream

This cleansing cream does make my skin feel all nice and soft. It even has some sort of broccoli bits in it? You do have to massage in, wipe off, and then follow up with a regular cleanser, though, which is fine, but it does lengthen my skincare routine a bit. The presentation is so cute with the wiggly leaves, aww! It makes me want to collect them and place them around my room like tiny house plants.

 

TONYMOLY Pocket Bunny Moist Mist

This moisturizing mist great for spraying on before applying the daily BB. Mm, smells good too. And it's a bunny. 1000 points to your house, Mr. Bunny.

 

 Holika Holika Pig-Nose Clear Black Head Steam Starter

Hrmm... now this smells really good, rather lemony, in fact. The ingredients are supposed to draw out blackheads and crud in your pores with a bit of friction from rubbing, but I'm so distract-able that it's difficult to constantly rub he product on for 3 minutes straight, and even if I can make it for that long, my fingertips and nose start going all weird and numb. Huhhh. I haven't seen much of a difference, but I do know this is part of a series of products, so maybe you need to use them all in succession to achieve best results?

     Etude House Color My Brows #02 Light Brown

Just a nice little brow-scara! It goes on nicely but is a little bit orange-y. I have been mixing it with a brown eyeshadow to help match the color of my multi-toned hair.

A cute pressed powder compact! Perfect in color and mattifying. I've been using it to set my BB. Mew!

 

 Etude House Vanilla Moist Eye's Cream Whitening+Wrinkle Care

 

Eye cream... in stick form?! I'm skeptical about its ability to reduce fine lines and wrinkles (though I am an extreme case in that regard since the skin around my eyes is so super thin) But it does feel nice going on, and does make my undereye area all soft and moisty.

This little guy looks so sad ;A; Don't worry, I'll set you free! Come travel with me, little one~ It's perfume, in convenient and portable stick form!The fragrance is nice too, it's green tea-ish with some fruity and floral notes, a nice, clean smell that's not too heavy. I like to carry it around with me and dab it on from time to time, it does make me feel a bit more awake, to smell myself smelling good. YEAHH.

just a little etude house haul from A-POLY on Amazon

I bought these from a seller called A-POLY on Amazon!!
I placed the order on April 15th, and although the estimated shippng date was May 9th to May 30th, the items arrived on the 24th all nicely wrapped up in a pillowlike orange parcel.

Order total was $21 including shipping all the way from South Korea~

Oh~ it's my eye liner now! Nice, thin brush applicator. My Dolly Wink has sadly been depleted, so I'm going to give this guy a try. The brush is great for drawing fine lines, but to my dismay it got a little flaky in the inner corner of my eye after a few hours of wear.
